COASTSHARING is a trust platform designed and managed by BPSEurope. The objective of this platform is to offer to COAST partners in ASD sectors an exchange platform permitting them to develop trusts relationships. And, through these ones, to develop business & innovation opportunities at transborder and European level.
The main characteristic of the globalisation and the emergence of a worldwide information and communication technologies platform is the dramatic explosion of people-to-people communication and cooperative work possibilities, as never in the past : « We were not just communicating with each other more thane ver, we were now able to collaborate-to build coalitions, projects and products together- more than ever” (J.Cawley, IBM strategist). Thomas Friedman (“The world is flat”) sorts out these new cooperation’s modes into six categories: Open sourcing, Offshoring, 0utsourcing, Supply chaining, Insourcing, In-forming.
The impacts of these opportunities for cooperating around the world are deep transformations of social behaviours, political organisation and organisational models. More than companies or any other organisation, the winner of this worldwide race to more cooperation around the earth is the individual. Indeed, the upmost astonishing evolution is the empowerment of individuals. The worldwide network gives new power to individual across the borders of their countries, of their organisation, of their companies, of their political institution. All these ones are overtuned by the considerable reinforcement of the individual power.
The CoastSharing platform is based on the networking on individuals considered as facilitators for initiating new cooperation between clusters organisation. The facilitator’s community is typically a new model generated by the globalisation process. The coastsharing webblog solution has to be designed in this totally new context.
At the odds of other traditional process which aims to tackle the cooperative clustering process through the synergies between organisation (this traditional approach would suggest that transborder clustering process can be managed by the creation of a new institution above the individual clusters o new organisational procedures between the cluster – organisational or institutional building), the coastsharing blog objectives is to develop relationships and exchanges between individuals recognised as change agents in each of their organisation, that’s the reason why they are called “facilitators”. These exchanges must permit them to impulse dynamic evolution in their organisations and coordination practices between the clusters which could define common strategy and coordinate their ressources.

Aerospace Wales Forum was established in March 2002 as a forum to represent the interests of the aerospace industry in Wales. It is supported by the Welsh Assembly Government and the Welsh Development Agency and was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee in February 2003. Wales is a principality within the United Kingdom and since 1999 has enjoyed a degree of devolved government. The overall population is 3 million people and the aerospace sector employs 20000. Overall sales of the sector are in the order of €3 billion per annum and the industry includes nearly 200 companies.
Aerospace Wales Forum has been established to act as the voice of the industry in dialogue with the Welsh Assembly Government, to promote the sector, to support innovation, performance improvement and business development and to support the WDA in attracting new companies to establish facilities in Wales. The development of international links is seen as a key enabler to these goals. Aerospace Wales Forum is a member of the UK Aerospace Forum, a network of seven regional associations and is a regional partner of SBAC, the UK’s national trade association. Aerospace Wales Forum is also participating in the ad-hoc European network of regional associations established under the auspices of the AECMA’s AeroSME programme.

HEGAN In 1992, within the framework of the COMPETITIVENESS PROGRAM of the Basque Government, MONITOR-SENER was commissioned to carry out a survey of the competitiveness of the Aerospace Industry of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country. In 1993, the Basque Government invited the companies most closely linked to this sector to take part in the Cluster. In 1997, the Aeronautics Cluster of the Basque Country "HEGAN" was set up with GAMESA AERONÁUTICA, ITP and SENER as founder members.
The aim of the Aeronautics & Space Cluster Association of the Basque Country -HEGAN- is to carry out as many actions as necessary to promote, encourage and foster the development of an industrial, professional, technological and research framework capable of providing goods, products and services for the aerospace market.
To do this, HEGAN endeavours to achieve the maximum levels of co-ordination and synergy between the different industrial, social and institutional aerospace agents, obtain the recognition of the Basque Aerospace Strategic Sector by the international community, contribute to the strengthening of the basque economy and favour the creation of highly-specialised jobs, the scientific and technical development of the Basque society and restructuring the industry towards activities that offer a more promising future and higher added value
