Adour Compétitivité new staff and international strategy

Adour Compétitivité is entering into a new phase with a new staff.

In this context, Adour Compétitivité is leading a new strategy based on three major lines of action: R&D pole in immaterial activities realm, support to SMEs for validating new methods (for instance in strategy watching area), business activity (Adour Compétitivité offers to companies project manager services).

European projects are then perfectly in line with this business action line. Developing new european and international projects is a strategic objective for Adour Compétitivité.

Partnerships opportunities

Two French technology transfer centres specialised in materials, assembling processes, surface treatment, coating and adhesives technologies are looking for new partnerships in newly EU members.

These two technological interfaces are CREACOL in Pau and TECHNACOL in Tarbes. They work closely with companies (big and SMEs) in Aquitaine and MidiPyrénées regions and with universities and high schools in Tarbes, Pau, Toulouse and Bordeaux.

CREACOL and TECHNACOL are technology transfer centres located in Pau and Tarbes. They offer a large and complete panel of skills, which could be usefuf in many industrial fields. They are a key partners for your industrial projects, from technical validation up to industrialization: estimation of process (surface treatment, assembling process, coating,...), materials (mechanical and physico-chemical analysis,...), Technology watch, Research of scientific, technological and industrial partners through our networks, Training services, ....

They have a specific specialisation in adhesive bonding technology, environmentally friendly surface treatments, For each cooperative project, they gather groups of partners: businesses, academicresearch departments, technical and technological partners through European programs (Adapt, VIème PCRD, Inter Reg" Strep, Craft, ...)and Regional/national funds/programs.

They have also permanent relationships with partners in Basque Country in Spain. In this context, they have developed succesively several development projects in the matter of plasma chemistry applied to the surface treatment. They have acquired a specific experience in this realm.

They are looking for new european partnerships for new projects.

The COAST faciliatator’s community objective is to create trust environment between all the actors, big main companies which are completely internationalized, local SMEs sub-contractors which have to become international; the other local institutions. In this context, the facilitator community has to be a real trust platform. Through this function, the facilitator community can help the clusters in bringing them right contacts in right organisation and in establishing trust relationships. This is the trust building function

In this context, the trust relationships established through CoastSharing platform will open the path to better synergies between heterogeneous organisations (industrial associations, SMEs, big companies, Universities, Technological Centres, Public Administration, Political Institutions, and so on…), and in particular, between private and public sectors across the Atlantic Area. This is a key observation relatively to the requirements for all actors of being more an more competitive in a globalized world. Indeed, around a specific industry which can be considered as one of the essential industrial spin of European Union, CoastSharing platform could contribute to a better “task sharing” between all these organisations and demonstrate the efficiency of public-private cooperation.
